The Cathedral of Hope in Dallas, Texas, was founded in 1970 as a congregation of the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), a denomination created to serve LGBTQ+ Christians. Originally known as the Metropolitan Community Church of Dallas, it grew rapidly, becoming one of the largest LGBTQ+-friendly churches in the world. In 1990, the congregation moved into a larger facility and was renamed the Cathedral of Hope.

Services at the Cathedral of Hope (Dallas, Texas) blend traditional Christian worship with a strong emphasis on inclusivity, social justice, and LGBTQ+ affirmation. Sermons focus on love, equality, and spiritual empowerment, as opposed to doom and damnation.
