24 Kaikan Shinjuku

I am a 69 year old British guy and certainly not a stunner, but I visited here late Saturday afternoon to evening and although it was a bit slow to start with that soon changed. I was so entertained by several beautiful young locals. The charge to enter was 3300 yen which I thought was perfectly reasonable for the extensive facilities here. The staff had limited English but to be fair I have no Japanese however we all got on well with lots of smiles. Well worth a visit if you are near by.

I've been on Monday afternoons (from 2pm and from 4pm) and late night on Saturdays. The last time I went was Sat March 1 2025. Saturday night is wild - people queuing to get in, and saunas and sleeping areas packed with cruising around and men doing it. I imagine Fridays would be much the same. Though quieter, the afternoons still had enough people to keep me interested. If it's your first time in this kind of place, I'd recommend going late afternoon, as it won't be overwhelming, but there will still be a stream of students and businessmen coming in for a quickie on their way home. All I can say is, I've had an amazing time there and recommend it for a 3-4 hour visit. There's always a wide range of types, with foreigners (tourists and those living in Japan) around 50:50 each time. I've always met some really hot guys and had some amazing encounters. It's always different- I've been there in the afternoon and only hooked up with non-Japanese, and in the evening and been pounced on by Japanese guys. The flow is: 1. At the entrance, take off your shoes and put them in the 10yen foot locker. 2. Give your key to the reception and pay for your stay. If you're staying overnight (which you have to pay for if you come late), it's more expensive, and you'll get a gown as well as towels. If you come in the daytime, you can buy a cheaper 'short' stay. 3. You'll be given a locker key in exchange for your foot locker key. You can ask for condoms and also buy a small bottle of lube here too. 4. Go to the locker room and change into your towel and go to the bathroom on the next floor. 5. Get naked and wash thoroughly before soaking in the tub. I have seen people getting off in the baths (and I have been one of those people ), but it's not usual. They're actually for soaking and relaxing and checking out blokes walking by. The ajoining room has toilets with douche attachments if you also need that. 6. Start your fun in the ajoining wet area which has 4 saunas, several shower booths with glory holes, and a room with a sling. 7. Stay in the wet area cruising around, or go explore the two floors with 'mix' rooms above (rooms with beds and bunk beds where slightly more private play happens). 7. If you've paid for it, there are private rooms available on the higher floors. I've never done that though (can't see the point, unless you really do want some rest here, or you're put off by being too public). I think it's a must for any gay tourist in Tokyo. I'd also recommend the Ueno store if you're into (or are) more of a certain type (big, older, bears ...).

Went late on a Saturday night after some drinks just thinking I would check it out, just under $30 usd to get in but I stayed from 1am until almost 6am because I had such a great time. The dormitories are actual dorms where people are sleeping but there’s also people having a good deal of fun. Wasn’t sure how busy it was going to be since I got there so late but people kept pouring in. Mix of locals and tourists. I had a really good time on the second floor (in the steam room and the showers.) I would 100% go back, wish I did.

I was there on a Saturday night (got there after 8pm). Full of guys, from 30s to 50s mainly, in all shapes and sizes. There are some hot ones for sure, and there were a few white guys as well. It gets even busier at 10pm as I was leaving. Overall, it's a clean place. When I entered, they charged 3300 Yen, and it went up after 9pm to 3900 Yen. I saw and experienced actions in steam room and sauna. Lots of oral actions. I enjoyed it!

Entrance free is very Expensive as compare to recent years i was there it is only 2500 yen i think.. now it is ¥3900 😂😱plus the phone charging is not free anymore! they will charge you ¥600.. so i may suggest to bring your own emergency charging device! the wet area doesnt smell good, it smells like full of human urine! 🤮very disgusting!! some rooms are close.. lots of old people out there with very poor hygiene!it is one of my favorite place to stay in tokyo but not now anymore!! the entrance is very expensive!!

Went here several times during my stay. Process is straight forward. Drop shoes into locker for 10 yen. Exchange the key you get for a locker key at front desk. For 3,300 yen or 3,900 at peak times you can stay for 14 hours. You'll be given a robe and short and long towel. Private rooms cost extra and rates are clear on front desk. 2nd floor is sauna, shower, jacuzzi area, 3rd floor almost like dorm areas where action takes place. Pretending to sleep seems to be the normal procedure. See someone you like, you start to grope them and they'll either accept or reject. There are 2 common rooms on the 4th and 5th floor but they are hit and miss. Mix of ages, physiques present, foreigners welcome though not a lot of us around and predominately Japanese/Asian crowd. Lube/condoms and sex toys can be purchased at the front desk. Definitely worth a visit though bear in mind you will need to queue to return your robe/towels during peak times

Do they allow crossdressers/sissies here?

I am going there next week and to be honest, I'm 19 years old. Do you think they will notice if? Or do I need to show my ID? If yes, from what age they allow to enter the sauna?

Do they allow people with tattoos?

Went there on a Sunday afternoon. It was very busy, very crowded but I was the only British guy in there.. After I went into the steam room, this young Japanese pulled me into a cabin and oh boy, did we have fun. Upstairs in the video room I was lying there, another guy came over beside me and had his hands all over my body. Then the same thing happened to me on the other side of me well. I was in heaven. They like foreigners and I'm bigger than most of the Japanese there. Will go again next time in Tokyo.. A great find.

I visited here during my stay and it was good. After waiting for the right moment, a tall foreigner maybe Aussie or American tall semi-built guy entered the wet area. I tried to follow him to find out what he was looking for.. and to my surprise he was looking for me. He just wanted to j/o but was very shy whenever someone else walked in so I pulled him over to private shower room and started j/o him. He was really handsome, tall, hairy chest... and guess what, he was into me too, so e started touching me.. but then we got interrupted and left. When I was getting ready to leave, I saw him leaving too, but I guess he’s in a hurry. The next time I see that daddy, I will give it all to him. Everything he wants.

It’s my first time in Japan. My experience in 24 Kaikan is one of the many reasons why this country would always be one of my favorites. In my first visit, I met a young man of my age whom I had fun in front of many viewers. I had never done this in my life. How I wish I asked for his number.. Looking forward to meeting him again next time. But I think it’s close to impossible. My second visit, hoping to meet him, was a failure. But I still enjoyed my time. I will let world conspires to let us meet again. If that happens, I hope hi will still remember me. I would do anything to meet him again.

I came on 3 evenings (weekend and weekday) and was disappointed each time. The crowd definitely skewed older and less in shape than expected, and at least a third of the people there were foreigners. It did not ever get particularly crowded. I was not asked for my passport or any form of ID. There were no slippers or vending machine. You insert a 10-yen coin into a shoe locker, then give the shoe locker key and the 2500 yen fee to the front desk (2900 after 9pm), where they give you a locker key.

I came to this place on a weekday around 12pm but only stayed for about 2.5 hours because I was only in Tokyo for an 11 hour layover. I did manage to make it worth it. When you enter the building, make sure you take off your shoes and place them into one of the lockers. Take that locker key and bring it to the front desk where you pay for entrance (either 6 hours or 12). I chose 6 hours which was about 2200 yen. Maybe because of the language barrier, I wasn't sure why I was given only the towels and not a robe, as I saw some guests wear. The locker room is on the same floor as the front desk, and the bathing area is upstairs. The facilities were clean, and the whirlpool felt amazing. There were a decent amount of guys here at this time of day. Almost right after I got into the whirlpool a Japanese local followed me in and sat nearby and slowly moved closer towards me to initiate fun. I think the locals are a bit more shy in the brighter areas in the building. In darker areas like the dry sauna or the bedroom upstairs, they're more keen to make the move. Upstairs in the bunk bed rooms, you'll see some action but don't expect people to be loud or wild. They do it very quietly to respect the others as they are actually sleeping in the room. It was still fun to watch, though. There was also a video room playing gay porn and while some of the guys in here were asleep, you can catch others having fun as well. Overall in the short time I had here, I had fun with 2 guys and I wish I could have stayed longer. People will watch you while you play - if you're into that, this place is perfect.

I visited this place on Friday & Saturday night and there were a very good number of attendees. The sauna is big and has lots of facilities. The guys were mostly locals and a few were foreigners including me. You get to meet lots of people here of all age group. There were a few guys who just walk around in the towels and do nothing. Except those guys, others are quite friendly. I shall visit again whenever I visit Tokyo again.

I went there on November 21st around 8pm. The facilities are great, very spacious. Surprisingly, there were only 10 guys and most of them were in their 40-50’s, maybe. And it’s not a common sauna like the one I visited in Hong Kong or Bangkok. No dark maze. I met one westerner who was always following and another young visitor - a bit creepy. Maybe I just had a bad day :( So decided to go to HAAARD cruise club, and it was better and cheaper.

It was the 1st time I ever visited a gay sauna, and I’m glad my experience happened here. Went there on a Thursday and it wasn’t that busy. However, I was expecting way less people considering that it was a weekday. There were mostly middle-aged Japanese men, a few young foreigners and young Japanese guys. But the Japanese guys, for the most part, were much more inclusive and interested in having fun. Action certainly wasn’t missing that night - I still get turned on just thinking about it! The guy at the entrance wasn’t super colloquial, but the place was overall clean and well-maintained. So I guess it was worth the expensive entrance fee. It was so worth it that I wanted to share my experience here. Next time I want more fresh meat there. ;)

It is a bear friendly sauna? Or do I have to choose another?

I was visiting the place daily during my stay in Tokyo. Nothing more relaxing than taking a soak in a hot pool after a long day of walking around. Loads of guys from all over the world, and all friendly. Whether you are looking for some action or just to relax. Top spot

Visited there last week (17th & 18th). It's really a nice place. Lot of fun with guys from all over the world, and also enjoyed a very passionated hug with a nice Japanese until the last minute. I can't stop thinking about the good time. Must visit there again, very soon!

Went in the evening from 5pm to 9.30pm. Nice mix of locals and foreigners. Had some fun with a Japanese guy.

Cost more than 2000 won and a locker fee for your shoes.. bath and saunas on the 3rd floor where some quick action is happening.. had 3x in the mist sauna with locals and its amazing for just staying less than an hour. 4th floor was the action scene you can witness for.. nobody care who watched, but some locals are still picky.. Even you see them get laid off in the dark.. most people are older than me.. they like foreigners here so anybody can pay a visit if they want to have fun for 12 hrs lol. Will definitely go back when i am in Tokyo.. Hopefully I can cut my hair shorter then..

I went here on March 31 to the morning of april 1. There were a lot of people. Mostly locals, but a substantial number are foreigners from Europe, America, Asia.

Came here wed 28 Feb 11:30 - 10am. Surprisingly it got visit as the night went on... With people coming in at the wee hours. Nothing has changed save for it wasn't as busy as last time I was here but still a decent showing and they also had one of the public rooms closed. The front desk said it's open Saturday and Sunday... Guess that's when it's busy. I say it's definitely worth the money.

As a foreigner, I had a lot of fun in this place. It is not easy at the beginning to understand how it works (shoes, ticket...), but the place is totally clean, full of people and with a very sensual cruising area.

I still remember my first visit around 3 years ago，many younger hot guys. But I am really disappointed with so many old guys only in this sauna，Hardly see any good shape young guys. And with a relatively high entrance fee（2900？，they don't provide lube，and condoms need to request at reception，which is very inconvenient.

I visited this sauna two times as a younger westerner on two weekdays. The crowd on one day was larger but the other day was a Tuesday and slow .It is a good mix here however this sauna is laid out differently than some of the big complexes like in Thailand - more confined in the typical Japanese way which is fine. Less spread out areas for people to sit alone in can be a plus. There are hot tubs near the showers and also in this area they even provide a toothbrush/ razor to clean up. On one floor there are probably over 100 beds (some bunk bed/some laying on floor). This floor also contains a room with porn on the TV where you can have fun. Here private rooms are extra and pricey so if you are too shy you might want to consider. I will try again on a weekend

I had fun every evening I was there with a few hot guys. However, I was also rejected by several so be aware this Japan. Some love you, some don't. The facilities are very large. The entrance fee is quite high if you just plan to be a couple of hours. Probably there is not another place to go if you look to see a bunch of naked guys and have some fun. All other places are way too small for anything to happen.

If I go there 7PM and stay there whole night how much should I pay ?

Went there on a Thursday night after reading the reviews here and I was not disappointed. Everything goes like Kevin was writing. The towel is mostly for the bath area, the robe is worn in the other levels. My first encounter was in the shower. They have three glory holes each. One at eye level so you can check out the other shower. Advise: hang your towel over the door so everyone can see that one shower is occupied. In my case it took a bare minute before a young Japanese got into the next shower. Nice detail: the walls behind are one big mirror so you can see the guy through the hole at eye level. He suggested we change to a bigger shower for some more direct fun. What we did. After changing into the robe I went to the 4th floor. There is one video room with a row of mattresses. The video is so so and pixeled like all porn in Japan. But when you lay down it does not take long until somebody comes and feels you up. Advice: if you lay down with your legs closed you want to be let alone. If you spread your legs you invite people to touch you. Had some nice action there. The other rooms at that level are darker and laid out with mattresses and double bunks. You can either sleep there or have some serious action. In the lower bed of the double bunks you have some privacy since it is pretty dark there. In all the other places you have more or less onlookers. And make sure to check out the Stardust room in the 5th floor. Lit with blacklight it has a great effect. Back down in the wet area check out the mist sauna and the steam bath. The dry sauna is not so much for action but nice nevertheless. During my 6 hours there I got my rocks off four times and watched countless hot action by others. Will be back for sure.

Went there just last weekend. The service is so bad and the guy in the front desk is not very welcoming. Not very nice to foreigner, tho there are lots of foreigner inside the sauna. The facility is quite good and the people cruising inside is actually coming from the bar I hang out in earlier. Lots of good looking fellas and somewhat I had a good time. Met with a lot of hot guys.. very wild and sexy experience. Just the service is so bad. But, I don't think there's any other place better than this one, because of the location right on the heart of the gay scene. Just outside the gay clubs. Just heads up for the really bad service. Still recommended to go

I came here recently while in Tokyo. First time going to a bathhouse / spa. The nude bath shower area was a nice warm up to what was happening in all of the other rooms. A couple guys kept following me. It it was pretty busy around 10-11pm. I only stayed until 1am but there was a lot of Japanese and foreigners. I've never seen guys hook up in person so it was a major turn on to watch strangers play while everyone was watching. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Tokyo.

Start here. For most, it is a good place to start your exploration. Only thing is you need to bring your condom.

Went there on Saturday, November 27, 2016. The place was full. All the beds were taken and people standing or lying on the floor on spare futons. It was an amazing experience for. People were sleeping naked. I was approached by many Japanese and foreigners and so I chose a gorgeous looking Japanese who spoke fluent English. He was also muscular which to me was a big turn on. I left around 5am for my hotel and later for Haneda airport. I cant get enough of that place. I just love it! My favorite place is the room that has thevlight on. I was thoroughly entertained , both as a spectator and a player. I dream about that place. Facilities- modern, clean, spacious. I cant complain! Highly recommend it. I will definitely go there again when I visit Tokyo next.

Went here the day after Halloween and it was quite busy. This location is a slightly bigger than the Ueno location but both are about the same size. Bathhouse entrance process is to remove shoes before you enter. To the right are shoe lockers. Make sure you have a 10 yen coin for the locker. There's another machine across from the front desk. Insert money in machine to get a ticket. The most basic is a locker which is the top left button, but you can choose rooms which the other buttons. Rates vary. Then you give your ticket to the front desk and they will give you a bag with two towels and a robe. The lockers are on the second floor while the main play areas and wet area are on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Then the guest rooms are on the 6th, 7th and 8th. The facilities are clean and nice. Though the open play areas sheets and pillows can be a little worn (I think they only change these once a day). But again it's a bathhouse, not the Ritz-Carlton, and when it comes to bathhouse this is quite nice. Has a nice variety of men from skinny thinks to sumo guys.

Great facilities, mattress rooms, dry sauna, mist room (not hot tho) showers private and with glory holes, lots of sleeping areas, bunk beds. Hot baths, cold bath. This really is a gay play spa. Just add people and that is the luck of the draw. Keep writing good reviews and it will be busier for all of us to have fun, only negative is some smoking areas.

I've been going to 24 Kaikan for as long as I can remember. I think my first trip there was back in the late 90s and I've always enjoyed it. There used to be other saunas around 2-chome but they all closed. I love going to 24 and seeing people have action and joining as well. Yes, sometime you'll find a weird guy that won't leave you alone and other times some guys won't have anything to do with you because you are a foreigners but still other times you can have real man to man fun at 24. I haven't been back in a while and I'm really missing the place.

Expected to see at least some younger Japanese guys, but on the Sunday afternoon that I went there most of the people were middle-aged. The video room was kind of disappointing as well. I had thought there would be loads of gay classics.

Fun, adventure, experience Japanese style playground with sauna. Could be strange for some yet exciting to others. Lots of snoring, sticky odor, shapes, sizes and mostly bottom waiting for that stick.

I'm in my mid-50s. I lived in Japan when I was in my 20s. Back then, I'd have guys run away from me when I approached them. Only a few Japanese guys wanted to play with me. I tried saunas, but they were a waste of my time. What has changed? I'm 20 years older, heavier, out of shape, and guess what, at 24 Kaikan, I had guys grabbing me, following me, trying to pull me into showers to play. One of the hottest guys there, after playing coy for a while, finally led me into the shower and revealed his beautiful body. I'd say if you go, be patient if you want to play with Japanese guys. I also played with a few foreigners, one guy joined me and his partner in a shower stall. I really didn't think I'd have fun, but I did, so it means anything is possible. Just be patient.

Came here 8pm to 10 am Saturday night 23/5/15. This place is just as good as remembered. On the back of visiting the sauna in Osaka (see my post) I was expecting 24 kaikan to disappoint. But boy, what this place lacks in comparative facilities it makes up in sheer hardcore action!... Over 100 people and actually got busier the later it got to the point where there was no space to lie down. Expect little personal space and few inhibitions! Still no. 1! Come here!

The sauna was located in the gay area which easily to find out. Unfortunately, I have try to follow the rest of the list in Shinjuku and also ask gay staff (shop keeper) only one left is here... so you guys have no choice now. The place is very clean, as Japanese standard, However the admission fee is quite expensive 2500Y for 12 hours is quite a lot in my opinion. The crowd is good, even at 4 or 5 pm on Friday, there are already many people there. Foreigner welcome, good English skill staff. Well, for the cruising depends on your luck :) for me it's great!! PS. There's no PRIVATE room without pay!!!

I had big expectations after reading a lot of positive reviews and was deeply disappointed, mostly by the crowd. I went on a Friday night around 9.30pm. There were a few guys there, but not terribly many. It was exactly the stereotypical people you would expect at a gay sauna: at most mildly attractive average men; none of which seemed to be younger than 35 and none of which seemed to have seen a gym from the inside in recent years. Body weights were quite diverse, though, ranging from extremely anorexic to extremely obese, with most being somewhat average. Contrary to other venues in other countries, there's no groping or obnoxious stalking if you signal people you're not into them by not making eye contact. Personal boundaries where always respected, something I didn't expect at such a venue. The facilities were a bit run down, but clean, with complimentary razors and tooth brushes in the washing area. Condoms are supposedly available on request at the reception. The whole building seemed very functionally geared towards men who want to hook up with other men, and not very inviting otherwise.

This is one of the best place in Tokyo. I visited this place on 16th August (Saturday) at 4pm. Rain mist, saunas, jacuzzi everything is awesome. One young Japanese guy looked at me couple of times and finally just touched his hand to my body while walking. Looked at me and smiled. I said hello to him and he said let's do it. Took rain mist, jacuzzi, sauna and then bath together. The guys there are very open to foreigners and other Asians. Six hours was full of fun and it was great to see around 100 naked men for 6 hours which itself is great fun. Will surely return to this place. Sometimes there are no free condoms available so take your own condom and lube.

I went to this spa on a Sunday about noon and there was a good crowd with plenty of good looking guys. Mixed ethnicity and age crowd, but mostly Asian guys who seemed pretty happy to have a 52 year old blond well endowed white guy there :-) It was my first time going to a gay spa so I felt a little like a kid in a candy store :-) The place seemed clean and well run. Yes, a lot of guys seemed to be doing bb, but I've heard that's the trend these days anyway and since they give out free condoms there's no reason you couldn't have safe fun there. I would definitely go back :-)

I arrived at around 3am on Saturday morning. The place is huge and really clean and there were hundreds of guys already there, maybe about 5% were non Japanese. I kind of got the impression that if you were not Japanese they were not interested, I am certainly not the ugliest guy in the world and I go to the gym 5 days a week but I have never had so many rejections in one night LOL. That said this is a really nice facility, I decided to give it another go on Saturday evening and again stayed overnight, this time I was drunk and just fell asleep. I was woken by some guy. I pushed him off cos I did not want to BB but this guy would not take no for an answer. I really had to fight to get him off and he came back about 5 times throughout the night and although I speak Japanese couldn't understand why I would not BB. I went for a walk around in the early hours and it just seemed that no one was using condoms, I am not a fascist, each to his own but they were freely available so why not use them and stay safe? I didn't get much sleep because quite a few times I was shaken awake by guys who on discovering I was non Japanese then buggered off. As regards size, facilities and the numbers of guys attending it is probably the best sauna I have ever been to, just a pity that Geijins (foreigners) are not really that welcome. Oh final note I had cut my foot earlier in the day and it was bleeding, and therefore I wore slippers in the sauna which led to a massive argument with one of the staff who had zero idea about the dangers of blood. He tried to tell me that there was no danger to me or others if I bled on the floor but that the slippers (Japanese flip flop things) were unhygienic and unsafe. I refused to take them off and just walked away in the end. I personally wont be going back, ignorant staff, racist customers and too much bb.

I 'checked in' about 10pm for the night. I was a foreign white traveler and new to Tokyo. This facility is sprawling and magnificent. Fantastic provisions of sleeping areas, bedding, massage chairs, TV rooms and large extensive wet area. The place was teaming with hormone charged younger guys, appeared to be almost exclusively Japanese. The place was pumping with action, all night long, never seen anything like it. This venue would have to be a 'class act' on the global stage of saunas!

They raised the fee to 2,900 plus the locker fee for shoes. Almost 30 USD for a run down old spa. The staff need to clean up the place more often. Don't know how anyone can sleep there. The bed either got bugs or there were Mosquitoes in the room. Not worth it!

This place has ruined me for other saunas! I got here at 11 pm Wed 2 October 2013 to four good looking guys (and that was just the locker room). Then I went to the wet area level (yes level!) To be greeted by close to 20 guys performing various activities like showering, bathing, standing around, sweating it out in the 20 man dry sauna, standing around in one of the two 7 men wet saunas.... (a lot of standing around).

I visit this place once a month. This place is open for everyone, including foreign visitors (you know most of [Tokyo's] cruising places don't accept foreigners), so you can find every type of guys here. Weekends around midnight is recommended.

Very exciting and friendly place. Hope to visit again soon!
