Asq – Royal Paradise Hotel And Spa

The big tower of the hotel is the first thing you can see when you approach Patong Beach by road from the airport. The hotel is really huge and therefore mostly used by package tour operators from Russia and China. Note that the tower is referred to as the "Paradise Wing" by the hotel whereas the building embracing the pool is the "Royal Wing". Rooms in the Royal Wing are more spacious and more "Thai design", but the loud noise coming from the discos on "Gay Street" directly in front of the hotel is very annoying for some of the rooms on the western side of the wing. Nice pool area on several levels and very good breakfast buffet (but the breakfast restaurant tends to get extremely crowded around 9am during the peak season). Leave the hotel and you are immediately in the gay area of Paradise complex, and it is just a 10-15 minutes walk to the beach. Altogether a great choice for a gay holiday in Patong!
