Tanque Verde Ranch

Tanque Verde Ranch is a guest ranch and resort spread across 640 acres of desert landscape in Tucson. Established in 1868, it sits beside Saguaro National Park and Coronado National Forest, less than 2 km from the park entrance. The property combines a Santa Fe–style adobe design with modern amenities and wide-open views of the Rincon Mountains.

Rooms and suites have a rustic Southwestern feel with WiFi, minifridges, and private patios. Larger suites feature living rooms, fireplaces, or whirlpool tubs for extra comfort. Guests can choose from six distinct lodging areas, each with its own character and outlook over the surrounding desert.

Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, tennis courts, a catch-and-release lake, and La Sonora Spa, where massages and wraps help guests unwind. The ranch also keeps 180 horses, offering daily trail rides and lessons.

Dining is central to the experience, with Southwestern cuisine served at Carrillo Restaurant, Sunday brunch spreads, cowboy cookouts under the stars, and drinks at the Dog House Saloon.
