Zurich Gay Pride 2026: parade, events and hotels

Zurich Pride 2026 will take place from 19 to 20 June, drawing thousands to the city for one of Europe’s most celebrated LGBTQ+ festivals!

Centered around the Landiwiese site on Mythenquai, the event transforms the lakeside park into a vibrant festival ground filled with community booths, live shows, and open-air parties. Entry to the main festival is free, with live music, DJs, and food stalls showcasing Zurich’s culinary flair throughout both days.

Parade Details

The Pride Parade is scheduled for Saturday, 20 June, beginning at Helvetiaplatz and winding through the city center before concluding at Müllerstrasse. Crowds line the route to cheer on colorful floats, performers, and community groups as Zurich celebrates equality and diversity in full color.

Zurich Pride History

The festival's roots trace back to 1994, when it began as Christopher Street Day. A significant evolution occurred in 2009 when Zurich hosted EuroPride, prompting the event's rebranding as Zurich Pride Festival. From its humble beginnings with approximately 2,000 participants, the event has grown exponentially, now drawing tens of thousands of attendees annually and establishing itself as one of Switzerland's most significant cultural events.
